room types

We have 5 room categories, with each room being slightly different. All feature stunning sea views and individual contemporary design.

Just right

The majority of our rooms are ‘just right’, with spectacular ocean views and an element of outside space via a balcony or direct access to the gardens. Most of these rooms have a bath and shower. One or two have shower only. The room pictured is on our Cloister Garden level.

Generous

We have six generous rooms, four of which are on the Middle Floor level, one on the Cloister Garden level and one on the Coastal Garden level. The seating areas each feature a sofa and of course the obligatory ocean view. Two have been designed for disabled access and one of these can interconnect with the room next door to allow for a carer/companion.

Unique

Four unique rooms are accessed via the cloister garden. Each has its own private gem garden influenced by some of the great Cornish Gardens. Whilst the bedrooms open out into their individual gardens each has a roof top lounge or pod accessed via a spiral staircase.  There is a beautiful sea view which can be enjoyed from the roof top lounge.

Spacious

A little larger than our generous rooms, we have five of these - four on the top floor and one on the sea thrift level. Each features a more spacious sitting area and of course the obligatory ocean view. Each has a balcony and freestanding bath.

Indulgent

Arguably the most indulgent rooms at the Scarlet! We have four of these rooms: two at the top, one in the middle and one at the sea thrift level. Each has outside space in the shape of a balcony, courtyard or a substantial terrace. Some of these rooms are arranged around a sumptuous circular central seating area.
