Book Club

Local bibliophiles meet once a month in the Scarlet library to discuss all things literary from 2pm.  Our usual format is to talk about the chosen book until 3.30pm, then enjoy optional tea and cake and more general chat.

Scarlet Book Club next meets on Monday, 20th  May, at 2pm in the library.  Members are reminded to bring along suggestions of books for the club to read.  New members are always very welcome - just come along.

In May, the book club will be visisting the Fowey Festival to hear the author, Sarah Dunant, talk about the research she undertook for her trilogy of novels about Renaissance Italy. We will then discuss two books out of that trilogy of novels,  In the Company of the Courtesan and Sacred Hearts at the book club meeting on Monday 20th May.
